Cassie's Crawl is an Ultra Distance Solo Swim Event Benefiting
Alopecia Areata Awareness & Research
Update: On 8/31/11 we successfully completed the swim from Long Point, ON or Dobbins Landing Erie, PA to set a distance record.
Hi, my name is Cassie and I have Alopecia Areata. I was diagnosed with Alopecia when I was only 2 years old but was able to treat my disease for several years with medication. When I was in 3rd grade my Alopecia became worse and there has been no helpful treatment identified.
Dad and I started Cassie's Crawl to create awareness and raise funds benefiting Alopecia Areata Research thru the National Alopecia Areata Foundation. Please help us by showing your support and learn more by visiting our pages.
Also, follow along with frequent updates, including during the swim, on Facebook at Cassie's Crawl for Alopecia Research.
Training for dad's swim is noted in his log. Take a look.
UPDATE: Strong winds resulting in extremely large waives delayed dad's swim attempt to 8/31/11. Follow along with routine updates on Facebook at Cassie's Crawl for Alopecia Research.
